Professor Steven Bull is Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Leicester. He has more than 30 years’ experience in organic chemistry research and higher education. He obtained his BSc in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Wales, Cardiff, followed by a PhD in Synthetic Chemistry. He subsequently held postdoctoral research positions at the University of Queensland and St Catherine’s College, University of Oxford. He joined the University of Bath in 2001, where he became Professor of Organic Chemistry and Head of Organic Chemistry in 2015, before moving to Leicester as Head of School in 2022. His research focuses on sustainable chemical technologies, drug discovery and chemical biology. He has published more than 250 research papers and holds eight patents, with over 15,000 citations and an H-index of 58. His research has been supported by major funders including EPSRC, BBSRC, the Royal Society and Leverhulme Trust. He has received numerous international awards and fellowships, including the CASE 2026 Prize for Catalysis, Sensing and the Environment. Professor Bull has established extensive international collaborations, particularly across China, Japan, Australia and the USA, and has delivered more than 160 invited presentations worldwide.

他的研究方向为可持续化学技术、药物发现与化学生物学。已发表250余篇研究论文,拥有8项专利,论文总被引超15000次。其研究先后获得英国工程与自然科学研究理事会(EPSRC)、英国生物技术与生物科学研究理事会(BBSRC)、英国皇家学会以及利弗休姆信托基金等重要机构资助。布尔教授斩获多项国际奖项与研究基金,其中包括2026年催化、传感与环境领域CASE奖。他搭建了广泛的国际合作网络,合作对象主要分布在中国、日本、澳大利亚及美国,并在全球范围内受邀作报告160余场。
